Course Fees
To train with Red Kite it costs £9250 on the full-time courses or £5500 per year on the part-time courses.
The majority of our trainees apply for student finance to pay their fees with a tuition fee loan. Please note that we are not an accredited provider with Student Finance Wales.
Red Kite offers a monthly payment schedule for those planning to self-finance.
International Students
Red Kite Teacher Training is unable to sponsor skilled worker visas or student visas.
You will not need a visa to train to teach in the UK if you:
- are an Irish citizen
- have settled or pre-settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS)
- have indefinite leave to remain
If you have a visa, the cost to train with Red Kite is £11,950 for the full time courses.
Bursaries and Scholarships
Tax-free bursaries up to £28,000 are available for a range of subjects, some bursaries are structured so that a Trainee receives a bursary while training and a further early careers payment once in employment as an ECT. For 2024, bursaries are on offer for chemistry, computing, mathematics, physics, biology, geography, languages, art and design, English and RE.
Scholarships are awarded to the most gifted applicants in a range of subjects. For 2024 entry, £30,000 scholarships are on offer for chemistry, computing, maths and physics and £27,000 scholarships for French, German and Spanish. Scholarships come with a package of additional benefits from the relevant scholarship body.
You will need a first, 2:1, 2:2, PhD or Master’s to be eligible for a bursary or scholarship.
