Why did you choose to do part time?

I chose part time because I have a family and other personal circumstances meant that this would fit into my life. It was flexible and it meant that it wouldn’t take too much time out of my week and away from my two young children.

How has the course been? Have you enjoyed it?

I have really enjoyed the course. It has been challenging due to COVID but I think that the course was adapted really well especially given all the challenges that were thrown in the way. For me what I liked best about the course was the personal touch, I wasn’t just a number in a big organisation. I was able to build relationships with the ECL’s and mentors. My ECL was Victoria and I felt supported so if there was a problem I was able to speak up.

Do you have a highlight from your training year?

I think for me the highlight was that I went to two contrasting schools and being able to see that and be a part of that was the best thing for me. I learnt so much from the two different schools.
